F4D Events at the boxxe Kick-Off: Serving up a Feast for Tech Giants




The excitement started long before the first dish was served. With our entire F4D Events team prepped and ready, we hit the road from our base in Towton, North Yorkshire, making the journey down to Leicestershire for another incredible event with boxxe. This year, we were heading to Hinckley Island Hotel, where we’d be serving up a feast for 400 of boxxe’s team and partners—including some of the biggest names in tech, like Lenovo, Microsoft, Dell, and HP. No pressure, right?


Hours of Prep, a Passion for Flavour

Great catering starts long before the event itself. In the days leading up, our team put in the hours prepping fresh, high-quality ingredients to make sure everything was perfect for the big day. From crafting canapés to prepping our cooking stations, every dish was designed to impress. With a menu packed full of flavour, we were ready to bring the ultimate dining experience to the boxxe team.




A Selection of Hot & Cold Canapés to Kick Things Off

As guests arrived and the drinks flowed, we served a tempting selection of hot and cold canapés—bite-sized flavour bombs to set the tone for what was to come. The perfect way to start any event, these little delights kept everyone mingling and munching while the atmosphere buzzed with energy.



The Main Event: Live Cooking Stations Stealing the Show

For the main feast, we pulled out all the stops with a range of sizzling cooking stations, serving up something for every taste:


Paella Valencia – Cooked in giant pans for that authentic feel, with both meat and veggie options, plus a side of crispy Patatas Bravas and rich, garlicky Aioli.


Lasagna – Whether guests went for the classic meaty version or the veggie alternative, this dish was all about comfort food at its best.


Sizzle Plates for Salt & Pepper Minute Steaks & Smash Burgers – Cooked fresh to order and served with Loaded Fries, because let’s be honest, everything is better with fries!


Loaded Fries Bar – This was a huge hit! Guests got creative, loading up their fries with BBQ Pulled Pork, Pulled Brisket, Cheese Slices, Blue Cheese Dressing, Burger Relish, Burger Sauce, Gherkins, Fried Onions, and Bacon Bits. Basically, the dream fries setup!



Something Sweet: Interactive Dessert Fun

After all that savoury goodness, we kept things interactive with a Crepes & Waffle Station, where guests could load up their desserts with ice cream, chocolatey goodness, and an array of toppings from our Sweetie Cart. Oh, and let’s not forget the towering display of Brownies & Blondies—because no event is complete without a little (or a lot) of something sweet!



Another Incredible Event with boxxe

This was our second year working on the boxxe kick-off event, and it was brilliant to be back! The first KO was at York Barbican in 2024 and the very first time we catered for them was for their summer party back in 2018 at York Barn, and it’s always a pleasure to bring our passion for food to their celebrations.


A huge thank you to our entire F4D Events team for their hard work, from the early prep days to the long drive and the non-stop service on the day. Feeding 400 guests—including some of the biggest tech giants in the world—was no small feat, but we had an absolute blast.
